AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
DO NOT MOW FOR 24-48 HOURS
- Waiting the full 48 hours increases efficacy
- This allows the product to take full effect within the plant
- Mowing too soon could remove some product before it travels through the plant
WATER IN THE APPLICATION THE FOLLOWING MORNING
- If possible, run your irrigation or sprinklers the morning after we treat
- This moves the fertilizer off the leaf and down to the roots
- Waiting until morning gives the weed control its full overnight window first
MINIMAL RISK TO EFFICACY
- Light to moderate rain will not hurt this application
- A heavy watering before the product is dry will reduce efficacy. Priority in round 5 is to start pushing turf growth above and below the surface
BED TREATMENT CUSTOMERS
- Stay out of treated beds until the product is dry
- A light watering or rain the following morning helps move the bed fertilizer to the roots
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Color and density improve over the next 1 to 2 weeks as the fertilizer releases
- Expect steady thickening rather than a sudden growth surge
- Flea and tick pressure drops quickly after application, with suppression continuing for up to 90 days
- Clover, Dandelion, Wild Violet, Ground Ivy (Creeping Charlie), Plantain, and other broadleaf weeds will begin to die back where treated
- Product can take up to 72 hours before visible results (yellowing or curling weeds)
- Weeds can take 1-3 weeks to completely die off depending on size and weed species
LATE SUMMER NOTE: This is the best weed control window of the year. As nights cool off, weeds pull energy down into their roots to store for winter, and they carry the product down with it. The same weed that shrugged off a July treatment often gives up now.
SEEDING THIS FALL? CALL US FIRST. Broadleaf weed control and new grass seed do not mix. Herbicide can stop new seed from establishing, and new seedlings cannot be treated until they have been mowed a few times. If you plan to DIY your overseed, let the office know so we can sequence the two and neither one gets wasted.
