New York use is limited to spot treatment
Spray individual weeds only. Use a coarse spray to minimize drift. Apply to the center of the weed and spray to lightly cover. Do not apply in New York State except by spot treatment only.

Residential lawn use in New York
The label permits post-emergence applications to residential and nonresidential turfgrass for control of labeled broadleaf and grass weeds. In New York, applications are limited to spot treatment. Apply only to susceptible weeds in turfgrass listed as tolerant or moderately tolerant.
Apply 1.45 fluid ounces per 1,000 square feet of treated area. Coverage must be uniform and complete. The rate is based on the area actually treated.

Backpack mixing order
- Begin with a clean spray tank and fill it halfway with clean water.
- Add the required amount of Quin-Way, cap the sprayer, and agitate.
- Add the appropriate amount of methylated seed oil, cap, and agitate again.
- Finish filling to the desired volume and agitate periodically during application.

Do not apply to fine fescue unless it is part of a seed blend. Do not apply to golf course greens or collars.
Mowing, watering, and application conditions
Mowing
Do not mow for two days before or two days after application. Leave clippings from the first three mowings on the treated area.
Water
For best results, do not water or irrigate for 24 hours after application. If rain does not occur within two to seven days, at least one-half inch of irrigation is desirable.
Turf and weed condition
Apply to actively growing weeds. Do not apply to drought-stressed turfgrass or drought-stressed weeds. Avoid application when conditions favor drift.

Do not use an adjuvant or additive on newly emerged turf seedlings until 28 days after emergence. Follow the complete seeding table on the product label for every turfgrass species.
Key use restrictions
Drift and surrounding plants
- Apply only when wind speed is below 10 mph.
- Avoid mist or spray on vegetables, flowers, ornamentals, shrubs, trees, and other desirable plants.
- Do not apply in ornamental beds or to exposed feeder roots.
Water and equipment
- Do not apply directly to water or where surface water is present.
- Do not contaminate water when cleaning equipment or disposing of rinsate.
- Do not apply through any irrigation system.
Clippings and planting
- Do not use treated clippings as mulch or compost around flowers, ornamentals, trees, or in vegetable gardens.
- Do not plant eggplant or tobacco in treated areas for 12 months.
- Do not plant tomatoes or carrots in treated areas for 24 months.
Personal protective equipment
Applicators and other handlers must wear:
- Long-sleeved shirt and long pants
- Chemical-resistant gloves listed on the label
- Shoes plus socks
Follow the label’s directions for cleaning, maintaining, removing, and washing personal protective equipment.
Environmental and emergency information
The label warns that this chemical has properties associated with chemicals detected in groundwater. Keep it out of lakes, ponds, and streams, and do not apply directly to water.
